Horacio Ortega Vineyard Manager

Horacio Ortega has farmed Patianna Organic Vineyard for more than twenty years. He was working on the property when the Fetzer family purchased the land as part of their Valley Oaks property in 1984, and Patti Fetzer quickly retained him when she acquired the 126 acre ranch in 1998.

Horacio lives on the Patianna ranch with his wife, Lorena and his three children: Alex, Melissa and Brianna. A native of Michuacan, Mexico, Horacio Ortega became a United States Citizen in 2000, the year Patianna Organic Vineyard received Biodynamic® certification.
