Gregg Hileman General Manager

Gregg Hileman developed a passion for good food and wine as a young man. His family was in the wine industry, suppliers of packaging and winemaking equipment. Wine always graced the family dinner table. His interests inspired Gregg’s career—as a chef, a wine salesman and a winegrower. Gregg is Patti Fetzer’s husband.

A professional chef and culinary instructor, Gregg worked at the Fetzer family’s renowned Valley Oaks facility, an educational center promoting organic farming and food and wine pairing in the 1980s. During the 1990s, he worked in wholesale wine sales, and for years he managed sales teams from the West Coast to the Southeast.

In 2005, Gregg reconnected with Patti, a friend since his early days at Valley Oaks. He joined the Patianna team shortly thereafter, as national sales manager. In 2006 Gregg and Patti married. Today, fully immersed in the family business, he manages national sales and distributor relations, works with vineyard manager, Horacio Ortega, and Patianna’s winemaker, Mike Lee. “At Patianna, we will set the bar for organic and Biodynamic® viticulture,” Gregg says. “We are at the forefront of the ‘green and clean’ movement.”

When he is not driving Patianna’s ripe grapes to the winery, working with a sales team or entertaining with Patti at the vineyard, Gregg can be found on the golf course. A scratch golfer, Gregg Hileman is renowned for his excellent game, on and off the green.
